It all began a few years back.......
when as an infant, Mihdi Brock was diagnosed with a life threatening illness for which the only recourse in traditional Western medicine was a major surgery at least once every six months for a dozen or more years. His doctor could not support that treatment, but there was thought to be nothing else to try.
Thus began a monumental effort on the part of his family to find a way to save his life outside of the commonly known methods used in North America. Thus began, as well, a time of extreme hardship for his family as they struggled not only with the search, but also with the need for the enormous funding required to search, and then to pay for his daily treatments.
Now, primarily thanks to Oriental medicine and many supporters, he is thriving, and making great strides forward, but his struggle to survive continues daily, and a great toll has been taken on those closest to him.
The Mihdi Joon Fund came into being from a dream that no one else, especially no other child, would have to go through what this little boy and his family have experienced in order to find and obtain Oriental medical treatments and the funding to pay for them.
Mission Statement
Established in 2000, The Mihdi Joon Fund is a registered Bermuda charity designed to provide the funding necessary to pay for the treatment and expenses for Mihdi Q. Brock. It shall further work to promote a greater understanding of the benefits of Oriental medicine and how it complements other medical modalities commonly used in the West.
At the same time, The Mihdi Joon fund is designed to assist those seeking to use Oriental medicine for the treatment of illnesses and diseases for which they cannot afford to pay. In order to facilitate this process, it strives to provide educational resources and funding. This foundation is seeking to create an endowment fund that will manifest these goals.
